Fat Lad is Thoroughly Miserable

Bummers, I hope it was rubbish

This is what I have just posted on the beacon of reasoned debate and cycling knowledge that is the Bad Brains Mountain Bike Club Forum.

It may come across as a little bitter. It should.

I've got the full monk on! I didn't even manage two miles in before I had to bail. I suppose it's all trail karma. Awesome riding last week. Yet this week has thrown at me so far:

Tues Pootle: So much rain even Noah would have been pissed off
Thurs Club ride: This

One very thoroughly fecked brake pad.

Oh well, easy come easy go. Jim said to me "Serves you right for getting so many miles in last week"

Thanks Jim.... Bastard

If it helps I do that to pads once or twice a week if it's wet.

Avid pads are very very poor in bad weather, too, I gave up on Avid after 10 sets of pads in 9 weeks this summer.

Yay! Matt replied to one of my posts!

Have you tried pads from this guy at all?

Metal on metal. I bet that made a nice sound.

Look on the bright side, if your pads hadn't been cooked, you wouldn't have bumped into me. Every cloud has a silver lining etc

don't you hate it when you run out of disk pads.. usually when you are flying down hill, and hit the brakes "exactly" where you would normally only to discover..... nothing but metal on metal!!

My cannondal prophet goes quick DH.... makes for interesting handling!
