Fat Lad Has Earned His Summer
I'm fed up. I'm fed up of filth coated bikes. I'm fed up of the grinding paste West Yorkshire mud destroying parts. I'm fed up of being cold. I'm fed up of riding in the dark. But mostly I want to ride in shorts and summer jerseys again.
I reckon I've earned my summer. Hell, I'll even settle for spring.

You're tougher than me.
Isn't that how riding is year round in the UK? Dreary, wet and dirty?
No, we do have a some Summer. We call it august....
Wow, sounds like we're all getting in the same mood - I definitely agree with everything you've said. Only here, add to it the wind that seems to howl every other day plus yo-yo temperatures!
Try living with a fed up mountain biker!

I traditionally replace the jocky wheels in my rear mech at this time of year - winter shite has worn the teeth to razor-sharp points. Serives those forks too, and replace the worn-out brake pads - that's another few quid.. spring is an expensive time of year. Still, will be able to wear shorts again soon and that halfs the washing!
