– Carefully descend cobbles then stop to pee.
– Back to bankhouse climb via sneaky swoopy bit and make it up bankhouse again seeing stars and push really really fecking hard
– Get to top and have to stop for a breather truly fecked now doubt I’m going to clear keeper
– DESCEND T’OTHER side (like marbles again on tyres) stop at bottom of keeper picky has a pee and we go for it
– Hard, very very hard, slippy but first couple of yards are the hardest… upwards pass few on the way but don’t stop, taking every ounce of my being to get to the top, past false summit big group of walkers very pleasant but don’t make it easy but still going
– Last steep bit and hit the top… did you clear it… hill medicine… and on
– Back down to cockersdale and I’m spent now. Twiddle up tarmac corker over road and make head start to marbles climb
– Make it but flagging really badly up last grass and track climb back to car
– Fecked but get a handshake from picky and a honest well done from all
– 150% ride but no excuses now.
