Al.....Would you mind giving your opinion on the following bike:
Saracen Zena 1

It short Nikki wants a fairly plain looking bike, she likes white and black. I like the frame on this bike, but not so sure about components, I know there going to be fairly cheap components what with the price of the bike, but are they any good?

Yeah not bad at all for the money.

I think in this sort of price range they are all much of a muchness.

However going away from WSD stuff you can get a 2009 bike like this one:

Much better fork and better brakes for not much more money.

Thanks for that Al.....had a look at the bike and it's far better forks, seems like a good price. Just text a picture to Nikki, so she can have some input. Question is will she like how it looks.

She's now torn between this:

and the bike you've suggested, however it seems to be leaning to the above bike....even though it's a worse spec - admittedly the brakes seem quite good, or at least pricey to buy seperately.

Going to try to convince her to go with either:

Which seems to be a good specification for the price.....or the bike you've thrown into the mix.

Seemed like a good spec....plus by the time I'd gone through various pictures of bikes to see which she liked the most (Seemed the look was far more important to her than spec) the Kona bike you'd mentioned made the decision easy....although the Carrera Vengence:

seems like a good spec bike, very similar to the Kona...she didn't like the green.
